Can CBD Oil interact with other medications?

If you are wondering if CBD Oil is safe for you, your parents, and loved ones, then the answer is yes.  And there are plenty of studies to prove it.  Just Google CBD and Scientific Studies when you get a moment.  However, like all great things, it's not quite so simple as saying a definitive yes, as there are some drug interactions.  So as we say again and again, please check with your doctor if you are on any medications, or have any serious health concerns before trying Cannabidiol, CBD.

One quick gauge is the "Grapefruit Test".  If your doctor said to stay away from the big yellow acidic fruit- grapefruit, then you may need to stay clear of CBD.  The FDA has required that some prescription and over the counter (OTC) pharmaceuticals taken orally need to include warnings against consuming grapefruit in any form, whilst taking certain prescriptions.  Please see list and FDA report here:

We have some cherished family members that take a daily drug for arrhythmia, so sadly at this time, he will not be using CBD Oil.  Perhaps we will find in the future there will be a solution for this so he too can experience the healing benefits of CBD for heart health, and overall well-being.    There are studies published by the National Institute of Health, from 2004, of the benefits of CBD and heart health that relate to hypertension.  The conclusive study shows that endocannabinoids tonically suppress cardiac contractility in hypertension.  So simply speaking it can normalize blood pressure.  That is fantastic.
